PESHAWAR 2001
PHOTOGRAPHS…
As a result of the attack at the Twin Towers on 9/11, President George W Bush decided to carpet bomb Afghanistan.
The US-led Military campaign, which included also the considerable involvement of British troops, started on the 12th October 2001, and in neighboring Pakistan, where President Musharaff offered his strategic support for the bombing campaign, a series of violent protests against the aggression to Afghanistan, spread all over the country.
I was in Peshawar covering the protests, the refugees camps, and the afghan community which was at that time on the centre of the interest from the international media.
